Kailey McKenna

Victor, ID

I'm Kailey McKenna, a guide and avalanche educator with Teton Backcountry Guides based out of Victor, Idaho. Originally from Maine, my studies brought me to Colorado where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Adventure Education with a minor in Psychology from Fort Lewis College. Over the last decade, I've guided backcountry skiing and mountaineering across North America — Wyoming, Alaska, Washington, California, and Colorado. I'm deeply passionate about creating space for women in the outdoors and empowering them to feel confident in the mountains. I specialize in backcountry skiing and avalanche education, taking guests into iconic terrain including our backcountry yurts, Teton Pass, and Grand Teton National Park. My certifications include AMGA Apprentice Ski Guide, AAI Avalanche Pro 1 & Pro 2, Wilderness First Responder, and Leave No Trace Master Educator.
