Ice axes, helmets, harnesses, crampons, technical kits, and avalanche kits (beacon, probe, shovel) can be rented from the office free of charge. Your guide will determine whether or not you need to carry the avalanche kit on your climb. You can rent most of the other items on this list from the Fifth Season in the town of Shasta.
