Mousing the Kanektok River
The fertile Kanektok River is one of the greatest trout, char, and salmon fisheries in Alaska and by extension, the world. The first week of August marks the annual return of aggressive Coho Salmon, combined with legendary Dolly Varden Char, Rainbow trout and four other species of Pacific Salmon in the system. This week boasts incredible diversity and the opportunity for anglers to catch most of the species targeted in Alaska in one week. For those who’d like to fish mouse patterns for Rainbow Trout and Arctic Grayling, this is a wonderful time to utilize this visual technique! You will be awe-struck by the streamer, dry fly fishing, and nymph fishing for our powerful sea-run and resident species. Join us for 7 days of rafting, wading, camping, casting, and fine riverside dining. The staff will set up your camp in some of the most beautiful wilderness scenery imaginable. This week is highly sought after and a fan favorite!
