New England Fly Company was founded by long time fly fishers Rowan Confrey and Isaac Niblack. Over 25 years of fishing across North America, and chatting with shops, fishing buddies and riverfolk, they realized that fly anglers, especially those just getting into the sport, wanted a deeper, more thoughtful, informative, and fulfilling experience than what was usually offered.

They believe that...

Native/wild fish need our respect, attention, and protection
Even if someone doesn't have the money for a full day guide, that shouldn't stop them from having a great fishing experience
Everyone has the right to a honeyhole, so long as they earn it
Teaching someone how 'to learn and earn' is better than just teaching them 'how'
Everyone looks good in photos - so long as they're holding a big ol' fish
