A mountain person at heart, Laura feels the most alive when she is guiding people with skis, mountain boots, or climbing shoes on their feet. She spends her time based in Bend, Oregon and Jackson, WY where she is a full time Mountain, Ski Guide and Heli-Guide for Alpine Ascents International, CMH and Jackson Hole Mountain Guides. Laura enjoys travel just as much as the next person - she has guided everywhere from the snowy hillsides of Japan, to the sunny sandstone of Red Rock, Nevada and the unbeatable sunrises of Mount Rainier. Additionally she has guided in Alaska, Iceland and has ample experience in Europe as well. Laura hopes to be an IFMGA / AMGA Mountain Guide and is actively working throughout her program every year. Outside of being an avid mountain explorer, Laura enjoys warm chai tea lattes by her wood stove on snowy days, and taking her dog, Hanu, for long adventures in the wilderness.
