Over his 25 years of fishing across North America, and chatting with shops, fishing buddies and riverfolk, Rowan realized that fly fishers, especially those just getting into the sport, desired different combinations of information, recommendation, demonstration, and photo-taking than what current sport guiding could offer.

- Native/wild fish need our respect, attention, and protection
- Even if someone doesn't have the money for a full day guide, that shouldn't stop them from having a great fishing experience
- Everyone has the right to a honeyhole, so long as they earn iTeaching someone how 'to learn and earn' is better than just teaching them 'how'
- Everyone looks good in photos - so long as they're holding a big ol' fish
