Brenton is an IFMGA/AMGA Certified Guide. Level 3 American Avalanche Institute certification. Professional Ski Instructors, PSIA Level 2 certification. He has been guiding for Exum Mountain Guides for 25 years. He is a Lead Guide and Director of Marketing. During the winter he guides backcountry skiing and ski mountaineering throughout the Tetons and works as a backcountry ski guide for Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. In the spring months he makes the journey north to work in Alaska Heli-skiing and touring then on to the Arctic for sail and ski exzpeditions.
Brenton has been mountaineering throughout U.S., including ascents and ski descents in Tetons and Wind Rivers including a 12 hour car to car ascent of the North Face of the Grand Teton. Ascents in the Canadian Rockies. Expedition to Mt. McKinley. Expedition to the West Ridge of Khan Tengri, Tien-Shan in Kazakhstan. First ascent “El Pilar” and “Cerro Liso,” Mexico. Member 2003 Khumbu Exploratory Expedition. First ascent of Peak 5,880, Khumbu, Nepal. Recipient of the Anatoli Boukreev Memorial Fund Grant. Expedition to Rio Murta Group, Northern Chilean Patagonia, 2006. Expedition to Fitz Roy in Patagonia, Guillamet, 2008. Expedtion the the “Ruth Gorge,” Alaska, 2009. Denali Ski Expedition 2011. Arc'teryx Guide Ambassador and Community Representative. Brenton served in the U.S. Marine Corps Infantry and Security Forces.

THE TRIP
Ski Divas LLC professional mountain guides (certified AMGA and IFMGA guides), on a backcountry ski touring and sailing trip of a lifetime in the northernmost fjords and archipelago of Finnmark, Norway. You will spend 8 days aboard the Skydancer sailboat, sailing and skiing your way from Oxfjord, Norway deep into the Finnmark roadless region. You will be surrounded by peaks jutting up over 5000 ft in elevation out of the sea, whales, dolphins, and terrain that is only accessible by boat. Explore new terrain daily, all from the ‘basecamp’ of the Skydancer sailboat. Enjoy home cooked meals and comraderie with Captain Nick and Estella, and immerse yourself in the wilds of northernmost Norway, and the best ski guides in the business.
THE BOAT
The Skydancer, built in Denmark in 2007, is a 73 ft schooner sailboat made of steel and aluminum and fortified for the rigors of arctic waters. The Skydancer can accommodate up to 8 guests plus 2 guides, and 2 crew members with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and one shower, making it a comfortable fun, and social place to come home to every evening.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
7 nights and 8 days aboard the Skydancer sailboat, 7 days of food (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks, coffee, tea), and 7 days of guided skiing 4:1 client to guide ratio. One night of hotel (double occupancy) and group dinner and breakfast on the front end of the trip in Alta, Norway. And round-trip shuttle service from Alta, Norway to Oxfjord, Norway and back.
WHAT ISN’T INCLUDED: Airfare, airport shuttle to Alta hotel, alcoholic beverages, gratuity for guides and boat crew, travel insurance.

Day #1 (April 7): Arrival into Alta, Norway (ALF) one night’s hotel stay, dinner together in Alta. Day #2 (April 8): Breakfast at hotel together, 9am shuttle to Oxfjord, move onto the boat, sail towards first objective, warm up ski tour in the afternoon Days #3-8 (April 9-14): Sailing and skiing in the fjords and archipelago of Finnmark, Norway Day #9 (April 15): sail back to Oxfjord Harbor in early am, shuttle back to Alta, Norway airport late afternoon flights departing Alta (ALF)
