Hi! I've been guiding in the mountains for 20 years and I feel at home on steep rock walls and in steep snowy couloirs.
My favorite work days are guiding powder skiing in Hokkaido, complicated alpine traverses in the Cascades of Oregon and Washington, and sunny rock climbing in California.
At the age of 11, I began winter camping in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, which laid the foundation for every adventure I've had in the mountains since. My education in technical climbing began eleven years later in California, where I became a student of Yosemite. In 2009 I moved to the Pacific Northwest to explore glaciated climbing. I've guided throughout the Mountain West and South America. My personal climbing and skiing pursuits have taken him to Patagonia, Nepal, The Alps, Greece, Japan, East Africa, and all across the United States. I have been the owner and operator of Timberline Mountain Guides since 2015.
When I'm not in the mountains, I enjoy gardening, reading and dinner with friends.
